End of the introductory course
We’ve reached the end of the introductory course. There’s so much more marketing content to look at and we have plans for the new year. Read on to find out more about our plans.
At the beginning of the year, we started an introduction to marketing. One topic a week and sometimes a special guest – experts in their fields.
Did we cover everything to do with marketing? No way! There are so many aspects to marketing, it’d be impossible to try and cover them all. It also wouldn’t be very helpful to anyone running a small business or charity.
Did we cover the topics comprehensively? This one is a no too – sorry! There’s a lot more we could consider and dig into. Things are always moving on and new concepts are being developed so it’d mean that no matter how comprehensive, there’d soon be more to add.
Does it provide a good introduction to marketing? Absolutely! For anyone involved in marketing this series will have provided an excellent introduction to what marketing is, how to go about it and what areas you can look at. Whether you are heading up a marketing team or taking on marketing as an additional role in your charity or business, this series will, we hope, have given you the confidence to start doing something.
That’s where we are, at the start.
Think of it like your first ski trip. Your instructor has shown you how to snow plough and your reminding yourself to bend at your knees to get a squat position. It is then that the instructor points to the ski lift and says we’re going to ski down from the top of that. The journey to the top seems never ending, the excitement you felt at the bottom is being replaced with fear. The bar raises on the lift and you tumble out tripping everyone nearby. Back on your feet, the instructor points at you and says, “GO”.
Aubrey is always going to be here, alongside you as you set out on your marketing journey. We are only ever a call or an email away, and we’re always happy to help you out (and collect your skis for you).
What’s next then?
Just like skiing, completing your first green run doesn’t make you a pro and there will still be a lot to learn. I know I am still learning.
In the new year, we are going to start producing some guides and template to help you with your marketing. These will help you plan your marketing and campaigns, and execute them. Let us know if there is anything in particular that you would like to see covered.
Just like the introductory series, we hope these will be really helpful and allow you to conquer the marketing mountain, before stopping at bar at the bottom for a little apres-marketing.
